AirDye® helps ALTS earn endorsement from GEC

San Francisco Bay Area based A Lot To Say (ALTS) has recently become the first apparel company to receive an exclusive endorsement from the National Green Energy Council (GEC).

Green Energy Council president and CEO, Ralph Avallone said of the endorsement:

Our program only gives endorsements to truly outstanding green technologies such as the A Lot To Say, Inc. apparel brand. They are making a difference by educating children and the public through their message and manufacturing process. Their shirts are the ultimate in environmental wear because of these distinctions, and because they are made and manufactured here in the USA with a portion of all profits going directly back into reversing the effects of global warming. This product absolutely stands head and shoulders above its competitors and previous technologies.

A Lot To Say T-shirtThe GEC was impressed with A Lot To Say’s message of educating and promoting awareness of climate change, but it takes more than a message alone to receive an endorsement from a non-profit with such a high benchmark for sustainability. Fortunately, ALTS has a sustainable and green manufacturing process including use of recycled bottles, AirDye® technology, and U.S. based manufacturing. The recycled bottles conserve natural resources rather than harvesting and processing raw materials. AirDye technology allows ALTS to dye and decorate their shirts using no water, 70 percent less energy, and no hazardous byproducts.  Their U.S. based manufacturing means no sweatshop labor and environmental claims can be easily verified.

AirDye has helped ALTS to become a greener apparel company. The technology uses up to 86 percent less energy, generates 84 percent fewer green house gas emissions, and eliminates PVC products (a highly carcinogenic plastic) completely.

Next week we will share our interview with Jennifer Stanich, co-founder of A Lot To Say, on this historic endorsement, AirDye technology, and much more.
