tammy brings AirDye to belgium

Last month marked an important milestone both for our company, and for one of our team members. We began operations with our first European manufacturing licensee–Eco Prints of Belgium and Tammy Shifflett, from our Transprint subsidiary, embarked on her first trip outside the United States. Tammy, along with colleague Bill Dean and Grey Mull (from U.S. licensee Coco Prints) flew to Paris then took the high speed Thayls train to Belgium. There they oversaw the installation of AirDye equipment, and completed color balancing and fabric tests which showed an initial working loss rate of only one percent.

Eco Prints will use AirDye technology to dye and decorate fabrics for several brands. One of the companies taking advantage of sourcing dyed fabric in Europe is Dickson-GlenRaven, producers of Sunbrella products.

For Tammy, this trip was more than an installation of AirDye technology for a new partner; it was her first opportunity to see some of Paris’ iconic attractions such as the Louvre, the Arc de Triumph, and her personal favorite, the Eiffel Tower. Below are some of the photos Tammy was nice enough to share with us.

new company name, same amazing technology

No sense arguing with success of the AirDye® technology. The AirDye brand has grown tremendously, from New York’s Fashion Week as a major part of Costello Tagliapietra’s Spring 2010 collection to Hunter Douglas‘ full line of products for the hospitality industry and many more instances. As a result, our company is changing its name from Colorep, Inc. to AirDye Solutions.

“I’m feeling more confident than ever in the future of AirDye technology. This transition in the company’s brand demonstrates our commitment to being a leader in the movement for environmentally friendly textiles,” says investor David Gelbaum.

“We’re thankful to have David Gelbaum’s backing, experience, and wisdom,” says Colorep, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Larry Levy. “We’re seeing many industry professionals who are very excited about AirDye technology and its potential. We are very pleased that market leaders are now licensing AirDye technology for their product lines.”

Over the next few months, brand strategist BOLTGroup will create a united brand identity for the company. This will include a new, interactive AirDye Solutions web site geared to both consumers and AirDye licensees. We can’t wait!
